Axxera radio not turning on

I have a freedom Elite and radio is not turning on.I tried putting a paper clip in reset hole on radio. It goes in slightly, then feels like it is being stopped by some thing inside hole.Reset hasn't worked.Any ideas what is wrong ?Battery use is on,Engine on thinking it was engine battery that it worked off of .

My radio works with the house batteries. Make sure to main power switch is on.

If the paper clip goes in the hole, you are feeling the reset button once inside. You don’t have to push hard for the reset.

Press and hold the reset button for about 15 seconds.

Axxera works off the house batteries make sure use store switch is on. To reset turn on the radio then insert paper clip and as 16 Ace 27 said hold the reset for a solid count of 15. Radio should have gone off during reset. Turn the head unit back on and, knock wood, you should be up and running again.

thanks

Thanks for all your help.Use button is on,paper clip is in reset hole more then 15 seconds I have even tried cursing at it,but that hasn't worked either .Reset feels like it is up against something 'solid' in there.Would a skinny ice pick type of thing work better ?As you can see I'm not very mechanically inclined .

If you have power to the radio and reset is not working it sounds like a dead radio. I had 2 Axxerra radios die before they got me one that worked. I'm on the third and haven't had a issue with this one for the last 3 years.

This is certainly a possibility...
I guess that you should have the Dealer take a look at it: Good luck!

Make sure the screen or face plate is pushed firmly into the radio, the screen has a plug on the backside. When I pushed mine it moved the radio itself backwards. I removed a couple of screws lifted the plastic dash cover off, held the back of the radio while pushing the screen it clicked and everything came on. How this helps.

I ended up having to use a toothpick to push the reset button, didn't have a paperclip small enough. I keep a toothpick in a drawer for this. I have to do it periodically.

Mine would do that frequently! I finally replace it with a new double receiver. Rear camera is now usable

My first choice.
There's an excellent YouTube demo/review by a kid named Nguyen.
I haven't bought yet but have researched for hours.

I picked one up at my local Walmart. I think it cost $108. It had an adapter that connected to my Sprinter wiring harness

My Axxera is a ASC-419N and it has two holes, both are in the front on the left side, one on top above the map button and one on the bottom.

The one on the bottom didn’t do anything, the one on the top clicked like a reset button should. Held for fifteen seconds and powered it on, working now.
