Axxerra has a Reset Button

Today while I was mounting an additional fire extinguisher in the bedroom of the coach I was listening to my Sirius radio. All of a sudden the Axxerra lost all power and would not power back on. Following the troubleshooting guide in the owners manual I checked power on the yellow wire, yup it has 12.5 VDC. I check for continuity from the black wire to chassis ground, yup got a loud tone out of my multimeter. The last step was to check the fuse, you guesses it the fuse was good.

Went back to the manual and came across "Reset" The reset section reads

"To resolve abnormal operation or if the unit is inoperable, use the tip
of a pen to press the
RESET button (located on the front panel to the
left of the
OPEN button). The unit will reset the main processor to the

default settings."

It worked. For how long remains to be seen but the radio did power back up. You would think they would make that step 1 in the troubleshooting guide.

FWIW, the Open button is actually the Eject button and the tip of a pen is too big. If you have to reset your unit use a paper clip.

Good to know. Thanks for posting. Will save a bunch of time if that happens.

Here is what someone can expect to see if they pull the dash cover off a Challenger and quite possibly other models on the F53.
