Lowes? Homedepot? Stainless screw selection?

Take the knob to your local hardware store, ACE, TrueValue, etc. They'll match the bore, threads and length. Smaller stores are more apt to sell you one or two pieces, where the big box stores will carry packages that are sealed, making it hard to match.

Except the screw does not screw into the knob: it passes through it and screws into the shaft to the lifting mechanism. If the OP doesn't have the original screw it's gonna be hit or miss.

It is probably the same screw that holds on the crank for the normal hatches.

Take that screw out and see if it will work holding the knob on. If it does take it to Home Depot, Lowes, etc. and get a 2nd (or more for spares).
