Battery Drain

I was listening to the RoadTrekking podcast yesterday and he brought up a battery drain that I hadn't ever thought about. The TV amplifier draws 12V and if it is left on will drain the house batteries.

So make sure your TV amp is off before storing your RV.

I disconnect my house batteries when I put the rig in storage. That way nothing sneaks up on me.

Battery drain

I believe that newer Thor models have a disconnect switch usually located near the entrance door. If it is not glowing red then there shouldn't be any draw from the batteries. But an occasional tipoff using the on-board charger should keep the battery up to speed. Once a month during the winter should be enough.

On my 31W the inverter is not controlled by the use store switch. It has its own power button. Also, my use store switch glows anytime shore power is connected independent of whether or not he switch is on.
