Battery Watering System
So, my two year old factory-installed house batteries kinda crapped out on me. I can’t put all the blame on the cheapie Thor batteries. My maintenance of them was piss poor too. Well, I bought two new 6V flooded deep cycle batteries and I promised my self that I would do a better of maintenance on these.
So, today I installed a battery watering system. It uses a bulb pump system to draw water from a jug and fill all batteries at the same time without removing any of the caps. Worked very well on my initial topping of the batteries. I think I’ll like it.

Congratulations!
It's always nice, when we learn from our past experiences...
Glad to hear that the new batteries are being well taken care of: don't forget to let us know how well they do their job!

I use that same system and it works great. It’s WAY cheaper than buying fancier batteries and it only requires a few minutes every month or so.

I need this system as well. But if you don't remove the caps, how do you know when the battery is full? (and not overfilled?)

It's a Flo-Right system and it has built in check valves in the 'caps' which shut off the flow to each individual cell when they are filled to the right level.
System works great. I bought 2 kits and hooked them together to fill all four batteries at one time on our previous RV.

It’s surprisingly expensive and frustratingly you have to order the bulb/pump separately but it makes a tedious little job easy peasy. You can buy systems already configured for 6 or 12 volt systems and for however many batteries your system happens to use.

True, I was surprised when I got the kit that it did not include the fill tube and bulb kit.

One more vote for the Flo-right remote battery filling system.

This is one of ther very first mods I did when we got our rig.
I have room in the battery bay to store a jug of distilled water.
I can check and top off the batteries in about 60 seconds, which means I do it at least once a month.

Battery Watering System
It was more expensive than I expected. But, it really makes it super easy to top off the batteries and you can’t overfill them. Just pump the bulb until you can’t pump it anymore.
Here are the links to them on Amazon.

Looks like there is a small difference in the product numbers for 6 volt vs. 12 volt batteries. Be careful to choose the correct one for your needs. I didn't notice that until I read some of the reviews.
6 volt batteries use Flow-Rite RV2000
12 volt batteries use Flow-Rite MP2000

Still on factory batteries after 4 years. I use the same watering system. Once a month I take the less then 2 minutes to add what ever water it needs.

this is an old post but after having the g son over again today to pull batteries to check water levels I am pulling the trigger on this system. Flow-Rite MP 2000 Qwik Fill 12V Double Watering System. For the life of me I don't understand ( yes I do COST) why an RV mfgr makes doing routine battery maintance such a pain. My grandson will be happy to help install this system and get out from under pulling batteries every month to check the water
