bed over cockpit 2015 VEGAS 24.1

Just picked up our MH from service. I cannot lower the bed over the cockpit area. I cannot find any literature or wiring or fuse information. HELP USED to work just fine.

I made the mistake of trying to lower the bed when the engine is running...it doesn't move.

Not sure if that helps in your case.

Make sure the pins on either side of the bed are removed. They are there to make sure the bed does not come down when you don't want it to.

overhead bunk not going down

problem is not the engine running
problem is not the pins

when i engage the switch - nothing - as if a fuse is blown or safety feature is on

If those don't work, the controller for the bed in the 24.1 is in the cabinet above the sink, left hand side behind a false wall you access with 2-4 screws. See Ed's manual for instructions on how to reset the controller and/or where the fuzes are.

Also Google " Lippert Schwintek slide mechanisms" for YouTube videos on how they work and how to reset. When you get to your controller you can see if it is getting any power or if you have to search for fuzes.

In this diagram that I have in my file, it says that the slide motor fuze is #10 at the converter under the fridge. I don't know if that is for both slides or not and I don't know the year of your Vegas, they change these things all the time. Does your big slide still work?

Here is the full manual for the Slide out system. I can't find a seperate fuse in any of my documentation for the bunk slide. A call to Thor is probably in order.

Um: Is the key on? They is a key lockout on the bunk bed. (Not the ignition key, on our bunk the switch panel has a keyswitch on it to lock out changing the bed position.)

I thought of that but was afraid to ask. When bought my first Class C I spent two hours one day trying to figure out why I had no power to the coach....only to figure out that I had not turned the store/use switch on. Sometimes it's the simple things that get you.

true- the simple stuff is crazy easy-- but cal them, tell then you just got it home and blah blah blah....they can either help you over the phone or be responsible if you take it back to them...but don't let them think you fooled around for a couple of weeks and now trying to blame them...jump it!! LOL

That's for the 24.1, however, if you open the panel door, there should be a fuselist specifically for your model. In my 24.1 there is only one fuse listed for the slides. Since your main slide is still working, it can't be that fuse. I can't find in any of my documentation where there is a seperate fuse for the bed slide. If it worked before you took it in for service, it sounds like a wire possibly got disconnected between the controller and the fuse or that the bunk slide key switch has malfunctioned. If you find a seperate fuse for the bunk slide, please let me know. Good luck.
