Black tank drain too low

I always have issues dumping my tanks at most campgrounds due to the drain pipe being too low. Usually we have to walk the hose up a slight incline from the outlet.
There are pictures below.
I am thinking of raising it a bit and it looks like we have the room to go maybe 2-3 inches. It currently sits 3 1/4 inches off the ground at the outlet.
To raise it up I plan on replacing one of the 90 degree elbows and just rotating it a bit to get the angle I want.
The issue is with the grey tank connection. I'm not sure what to do there. Anyone have any ideas?

What is the grey sealant used to connect the reducer to the grey tank?

Passenger side next to black tank.

Different view of passenger side.

Driver side grey tank connection to outlet.

Span across motorhome from black tank.

Thanks in advance.

You'll need the find a source for ABS fittings which use ABS adhesive, ABS is not compatible with PVC.

yikes, that looks awful low!

How much ground clearance under that pipe do you have?

I'm nervous about mine being so "exposed" behind the rear axle/tires because a blowout would likely take it out.... as might running over some major "junk" in the road....
From those pictures, yours looks a lot worse!
I'd be doing the same thing that you are thinking!

good luck!!

I have about 3-5 inches of clearance. The dump valve is the lowest point.

The plan is to cut out one do the 90 degree elbows and replace it with one that is rotated a bit higher. That should allow me to get a little closer to the frame to strap it. I am estimating a 4 inch gain in height.

Just a WAT here; looks as though your tanks are on passenger side and if so, may be easier to install your dump valve or valves on that side near the tank or tanks, and when dumping pull in with that side to dump drain. And when in campground for awhile, run a long hose under the chassis and to the drain. Just a thought to save some rigid piping and increase clearance if possible.

If it's under warranty, I'd consider bouncing it back to the dealer to fix. That can't be 'right'

My tanks are on opposite sides, black on passenger and grey on driver side.

The coach is still under warranty, but I can't find a local dealer to touch it. Even though I think it is an easy fix, everyone I have called said I would have to wait until fall to get it fixed.

I too have this issue on my 2018 29fe. What did you end up doing? Thanks.

Consider a macerator pump.

Call Thor and ask for authorization to use a mobile tech.

I'm more worried about the valves getting ripped off from a speed bump than I am about dumping my tanks. I will think about a macerator pump though. I really need to get the valves higher.

Black tank drain too low

I had the same issue with my old Outlaw 29H. It was actually even lower and I was sure it would get torn off at some point.

I removed the cross-over pipe and put a separate valve and sewer hose connection on the passenger side of the coach just for the black tank.

It was a bit of a pain but I purchased a Y-adapter so I could run a hose from the black tank over to the hose from the grey tank and then a single hose into the sewer connection.

Had this same issue on a Cherokee TT. Got the ABS elbow and adhesive from Ace Hardware. Rotating the elbow slightly gave me additional 2-3 in. ground clearance.
