Xantrex PRO inverter

I have a 2016 THOR ACE 29.3 with a Xantrex 1800 inverter. The face plate for the inverter is mounted on the wall near the bathroom. When I returned from my last trip the display gave me an error E02 which is an under voltage shutdown. There was very little running through it and the batteries were charged. I can't reset the error. The manual states to disconnect shore power, I did and still had the error. I connected to power and tried to turn on the inverter and there is no response from the inverter. With shore power, the power should just pass through it. Regardless what I do, when I turn on the inverter it ticks for a short time, the E02 error flashes, and then the display shows ----. I do not know where the inverter is physically located to try a hard reset and I am not comfortable in disconnecting the house batteries. I tried to shut down the power to the coach but the inverter still had power.

Any thoughts.

If it's installed right it should be close to the batteries and wired directly to them and fused. If not just remove the ground wire from the battery. That should do it. You should also search for it and find it.

On my coach the inverter is mounted to the ceiling 2 storage compartments back from the battery compartment. It and the batteries are separated by the propane tank compartment.

I had the same issue while running the auto start feature. I turned the xantrex unit off, then I started my generator, let it run for a few minutes, then turned the xantrex back on. It reset itself then.

I had the auto start set to start the gen when the voltage reached 11 volts, per the Magnum manual. I got the low voltage E02 message before the gen ever started, and since it was in error mode, it wouldn't auto start.

Xantrex PRO inverter

I will look a little harder tomorrow. I thought I have searched every obvious place inside. I think if I can cut the power to it I may have a chance to reset it. If that doesn't work than it is defective.

Thank you I disconnected the ground wire and it reset the inverter.
