Can anyone identify this connector

I am trying hard to figure out how to post a picture on this forum. I am out traveling and have no way to get a picture with a URL so I can post it. I have found a rather unusual connector just under the radio and do not have a clue what it is for. If I can figure out how to post a picture I will post one.

Phil

Open a post and click go advanced, when that screen opens up you will see a paper clip at the top, you can attach a pic off your computer there.

I am trying to figure out how to post pictures and failing dismally. The connector is about 1 inch wide and maybe and eighth thick. I can’t get it far enough out to see the wires. The connector has a black shell and what appears to be a red plug in what would be the open end. Every time I try to post an image it asks for a URL. I am on the road and have no way to put the picture anywhere with a URL. I did manage to upload it but can’t seem to figure out how to get it into a post.

Yes it worked as I can see it. If your RV is Ford based (E450 or F53) thats the unused AUX IN connector. It would connect to the 3.5mm headphone jack on the dash. This jack is only used for the stock ford radio. Since Thor put in a piss poor axxera, this connector is not used and wont cause any issues just danging there or you can also tuck it behind the dash.

Thanks, I will tuck it back where it can’t be seen again.
