Bring it it over to AutoZone or one of the chain type autoparts stores. Most will read the codes from the OBDII port and let you know what the code is.

Or stop by a MB dealer. 3,000 miles is all warranty work. I don't trust the yahoos at the auto parts stores to touch my stuff anyway...

1500 miles

Probably a loose fuel cap. Unscrew and re-close the fuel cap and the problem may go away after a few starts.

When the Engine Check Light came on our new 2017 Thor Freedom Elite, I could not detect any difference in performance with 2017 Ford E450.

My concern was not knowing if the problem was serious or not.

It took some time to make an appointment with an authorized Ford mechanic for the warranty service. They could not replicate the problem or come up with a possible solution.

The error code was P0300 Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected.

After doing some research on the Internet, I ordered a KOBRA Wireless OBD2 Car Code Reader from Amazon and purchased OBD Fusion for my iPhone. (The OBD Fusion is the software that will retrieve the code.)

Using my iPhone, I was able to access the code and determine it was the same problem the RV mechanic found.

After the third incident in about 5,000 miles, I decided to use Rislone Gas Fuel System Treatment to help eliminate possible water or moisture in the fuel tank. (Only time will tell if this makes any difference.)

An OBD2 reader is a useful tool to have. In my first 8000 miles on my 2016 V-10 in my Axis, I had the engine light come on three times - always in high humidity conditions and after a heavy rain. The OBD2 gave me the same code for a CO2 sensor - and allowed me to zero out the engine light. It hasnít happened in the last 16000 miles. I also have used the OBD2 to check and reset the engine check light in my Miata. Great peace of mind and time saver on the road or, if it continues to happen, that something really is wrong and needs to be looked at.
