Compartment leaks - 2017 Thor Vegas 24.1

Several of the outside compartments allow water to leak in while raining. And yes, they are fully latched/locked. I'm sure while driving, it would be worse. Is this typical or what?

It happened in both the 2014 Vegas and 2016 Axis that I have owned. I added some additional packing around the lips of the compartment covers and it ended the problem.

Can't it solve by installing a gutter?

Be sure the rubber seals around each compartment door are intact and contact the compartment door when closed. Have a 2015 Vegas 24.1 with 10,300 miles and about 200 days of camping and none of my compartments leak.

Probably not. I got the most water in the compartments while driving in heavy rain. A gutter might solve oRt if the problem, but not all.
