Crappy question

Anyone have experience with AW gravity flush toilets?
I got one a couple months ago and it began leaking at the valve seal.
I can't find anyone that sells parts for these units. Dometic is all over the place.
I have don't a quick fix using vasiline on the seal but that will only last a short time.

Question: Are you so set upon using that toilet; that you won't consider switching to the more common Dometic?

I like the AW because it's 20" tall vs the Dometic 17" tall. I'm 6'2" with bad knees getting up from low seats is hard

I can understand not wanting to get your knees caught in your ears...
Is the gasket size something that is common? Would one from a Dometic or a Thetford work?
(Just guessing...)

You also could build a platform with just edgewise 2x4s and some flooring from Lowe’s.

Pete,I thought about raising the toilet. The problem was finding a covering that matched the flooring. Plus the new toilets are only $109.00

Bob, I'm having trouble getting the old seal out to match it with the Dometic seal.
There are 4 screws holding the base to the bowl, took those out but the parts won't budge, will probably take the flush lever off next to take a look.
The contact at AW's sales force didn't seem to know anything or where to look for parts. It is Chinese made. Other fish to fry right now so I'll get back to it after next trip.
Carpet to replace rattling window screens and on and on. I don't know how I got anything done before I retired?
