K&N 2 psi Push pump was installed this past weekend between the main fuel tank and the generator. I started the generator as usual, 2 long primes to get it to crank and then turned on the auxiliary pump. The unit ran for 4 hours flawlessly before I turned the push pump and then gen off.
2 hours later i restarted the generator without priming, it started right away. I could not have done this before without a prime. Two observations the push pump appears to aid the generator in running without cavitation. The auxiliary pump appears to have a check valve or by nature of the install point prevents the fuel from running back to the tank.
Looking forward to the months ahead to see if this is a long term fix..
