Fresh Water Tank Drain Valve

Hello, I finally located the fresh water tank under the main bedroom bed. However, I am having trouble locating the drain valve for the tank. Any suggestions

My fresh water drain is located on the outside of the coach, near the bottom of the side wall. It is a white spigot looking thing.

Not all coaches may have a fresh water tank drain, and if yours is like this, your best bet might be the low point drain - depending on where in the system it is located.

you can probably tell by looking at your tank and see how many hoses exit it. There should be a fill hose, a fill vent hose, the main discharge hose going to the water pump, and if you have a tank drain, a 4th hose.

Thor Citation 24SR freshwater drain

I am not able to find mine, either. I can't tell which valve is the drain. Can anyone assist with this? Help would be greatly appreciated. I don't want to drive around with 20 gallons of water in the drain, or let it get old and stinky.

Some of the tanks do not have a drain line valve per say. You use the drain valve located on each side of the water pump. They look like a key chain ring to drain the tank. Open faucets to aid in draining.

But what do I know

Hope this helps!

I know there are a number of valves under the bed in the rear slide. Can't remember what they all do, and it's a chore to get to them. Will have to take a good look next time the slide is out.

After looking all over, I found mine under (or behind) drawers near Frig.
Good Luck!

Water Tank

I installed a 12 Volt Water Valve on the water tank drain which is controlled with a switch. No more lifting bed and turning the Valve on an off to drain tank.

Where did you get that valve and how much did it cost? That sounds like a very convenient mod.

Water Valve

Picked it up on Amazon

http://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00W...ilpage_o02_s00

The switch came from Canadian Tire.

Blue Round Rocker Switch | Canadian Tire

It has a Light in it so the DW can see it is on and shut it off when the tank is empty.

Mounted the switch beside the rest of my switches at my RV door entrance.
