Dicor Cleanup

Hi All,

Started to do some sealing on my RV around the tail lights and some other places using the lap sealant. I am finally getting the hang of it but some of the places I started it is a little bit of a mess. I thought using a wet rag would help like you would use on silicone. Not happening.

What is a good thing to use to clean up the access and some of the smearing. Any thoughts on a good procedure to use.

Thanks

Rich

I'm not sure there is any easy, quick way to clean up Dicor. Not sure that is what you should use for sealing up tail lights.

Dont use dicor on the tail lights. I would use a silicon caulk or RTV sealant.

Use blue painters tape around stuff you dont want messed up but both of these will clean up if you wipe them right away (when done).

I remove Dicor off the roof with my hand and some elbow grease...it just kind of peels off.

I like the messy look: it lets folks know that I actually did try to do the job myself...

Thanks! In another lifetime: I can imagine being booed off a stage, in a Catskill resort...
