We gave them until April 7th... This date actually coincides with a scheduled service appointment for the Missus' RAV4...

Why make an extra 100 mile round trip?

Good luck, we hope it all works out. It's a shame it just couldn't have been done the first time given they had 4-1/2 months to do it.

What you said ^^^^. I would insist on a full detail inside & out! And, maybe even an in store credit of a couple hundred dollars to pick-up a few needed items. We got almost $100 worth of stuff when the rv shop in Oregon screwed up the SMI braking system install. We also got new safety cables for our toad because they didn't air up the air bag system and the brand new cables were pretty badly scraped.

The Service Manager promised that our rig would be detailed twice
: Before they even start working on it..
... And before we show up on the 7th.

We're not looking for anything free; we just want our rig repaired properly, and returned to us in the condition that we left it with them.

Good luck to you. We have been fortunate on our VEGAS that most of the issues we have found we have been able to DIY them back to health. The one "major" issue with cracks on the fiberglass THOR approved repair and we made sure that the dealer knew three days maximum out of our hands (they actually had it done in two)

Through everything THOR has been great on all issues (so far anyway)

Sounds like all good news! The icing on the cake for you would be... When CW buys out Can-Am, you will be able to leave the Spyder in the "garage" and the same Tech can repair both! .... Safe Travels this summer!

We went to pick up our rig from Camping World in Kingston, NY today, They've had it for four and a half Months, in order to tackle our extensive "Oh crap"! list...

They pull it out in front of the store, and it is FILTHY!! It's covered with mud, and this starts my Missus to crying: not a great way to start this process.

It's just as bad inside also!

So while I'm checking off the items on the list of repairs: the Missus is looking the unit over with a fine-toothed comb...

She finds damage on the exterior walls on both sides!

So we ain't happy!

and it gets worse!

The levelers and the slide no longer work, and the tankless hot water system is screaming error codes at us.

And of course: several of the items on our list were no addressed properly at all.

I need to light a SERIOUS fire under these idiots, and I think that if I send a copy of the email that I just sent to the Service Manager: somebody will get curious in a hurry!

I'm too sick and heart to say any more right now...

I have a Thor, when I had warranty issues I used the email address for warranty support at thor(wsupport@tmcrv.com). If this doesn’t work I have a few other contacts at thor I used to resolve our warranty issues.

That's totally understandable. When we had to return to the dealer that installed the brake system we had to drive 55 miles back from our son's home in Portland. They didn't offer to re-reimburse us for fuel or inconvenience. It put us a day behind our schedule returning home for appointments.

An unhappy update...
Our Outlaw won't be ready...
I received an email from the Dealership saying that not all of the parts had come in, and they don't expect shipment of them until at least April 23rd.
The vinyl graphics that are damaged and falling off of it are just not available at this time.
I called Thor, and spoke with Brandon: he attributes it to a problem at the vendor's end of the equation. Evidently Thor isn't getting any graphics packages from them, and it is slowing production to a halt.
My Missus wants her money back, and the manager at the dealership isn't taking my calls.

I guess that we're going to have a VERY interesting meeting up there tomorrow.

Brandon is a good guy, I've spoken with him on two issues now and he was helpful and a straight shooter both times. Here's hoping you can get things resolved with the dealer. Good luck!

Bob
I new to the board and have not yet purchased an RV but have been doing research for over 2 months. I've found 2 vehicles that I believe will fit my lifestyle and budget, but the problem I have is service. . I researched service online and 2 good sized regional dealerships had service complaints of 205 and 285. Camping world had an unbelievable 2105!! Most of Camping Worlds were service related and serious, similar to what you posted. And Thor didn't seem too responsive. You may have to up your game

Thanks... we're working on it.
(And welcome to the Party! )

After our meeting this morning: I have to email copies of ALL correspondence to another manager, and he will take it up with the owner of the store on Monday morning.
My Missus is still in tears over all of this... I'm just getting ticked-off to a higher level!

The only way you will ever get Justice is....
Hang a 10-foot by 20 foot Banner on the side of your motorhome and on a Sat. MORNING park it across the street have written on it ..DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH Camping World ASK ME WHY.. I guarantee your issues will be fixed in about 2 hours. At this point they can stick their copies where the sun does not shine...or good bye summer .

This tactic has been discussed: They share a parking lot with another business: If I park just on the edge between them...

Emails have been sent: we'll see what happens on Monday morning.

If the predominant pattern that many post about repeats, you’ll suffer through a long period of this crap, they’ll eventually get around to fixing most things, then you’ll slowly forget the agony you went through, and finally you’ll start to post how great Thor was in fixing everything, how crappy the dealer was, and how clever and persistent you were in getting things corrected.

Hang in there. In time most owners report getting things fixed.
