Kiddie Fire Extinguisher Recall.

Hey folks,

Check your fire extinguishers because they may be part of a nationwide Kiddie recall.

Recently, after an FMCA Christmas Rally Yankee Gift Exchange my attention was brought to a Kiddie fire extinguisher recall. I received a set of 2 during the exchange.

Prepping for my Challenger's maiden voyage this morning I decided to bring my extinguisher in the house and bounce it across the Kiddie recall list, which is quite extensive.

The model numbers listed on my extinguisher include at least 2 that are under recall and my date code falls within the range.

On the extinguisher the model is shown under the section "UL Listed Models" and the date code is stamped in black lettering on the bottom of the extinguisher.

I have attached the guide on how to identify your fire extinguisher.

If I remember correctly, Kiddie was relying on retail suppliers such as BJ's, Home Depot etc... to try notifying folks about the recall.

I am going to an RV parts house today and talk to them as well as contacting my Thor rep.

I talked to a Thor rep today and she is going to talk to the person that handles Thor recalls. It seems that Thor has not been made aware of the Kiddie recall so they are checking it out.
