Wash tank loss when traveling

Have 100 gallon tank and noted 25 gallon loss due to sloshing out the two tank overflows. Don't want to cap and only have about 5" above outlets to raise the hoses before directing them done through the floor to drain outside. Anyone tried a loop to creat a trap?

What rv do you have? How did you determine you lost 25 gallons, the sensors are NO WHERE near that accurate? You haul 100 gallons, almost 900 lbs, of water while traveling? Have you added more support under your water tank in order to haul that much? If you don't want to cap the vent/overow line them the loop would be the only other option.

We have a 2017 Thor 37BG toy hauler that comes with a 100 gallon tank. It has gallon indicators on it.

We have a Miramar with 100 gallon fresh tank and often fill it when dry camping. I honestly can't figure how you could loose 25 gallons. I have never lost any that I can see by looking at the markers on the tank. I wonder if your drain valve is leaking or (biggest fear) a crack in the tank itself.

water loss

i have outlaw 37ls, i can loose up to 25 gal, the sloshing will induce a siphon effect via the overflow hose, certain plastic tanks can collapse a bit to keep feeding the siphon effect. i have not had time to make a fix.

my friend has a winnie and has the same problem..

it will require a t-fitting near the top of the tank and a hose directed upwards to break the vacuum so the siphon effect will stop.

I routed both overflow hoses up as high as I could which actually went over the top of a gas line and then down again through the floor. About 5". I filled up the tank and noticed that once it starts going out the overflows it will in fact start a syphon and drains the tank till it is below the edge of the plastic hose fitting in the tank and it draws air. I will leave it full and go for a drive and see if it the sloshing is enough to push it through the raised tubing. If that doesn't work then I will buy some longer tubing and put a couple of loops in it to create a trap. If that doesn't work I will put in a couple of in line ball valve shut offs knowing I will have to open them when filling the tank, close when traveling and open when I get to camping spot.
