Dumb move #23433786.3

While putting my 29m into storage for the winter (live in the Northeast) I clipped an HVAC duct which promptly damaged the black plastic shroud on my Maxair fan by pulling it off the RV on one side. As luck would have it the shroud itself is fine, the tabs on the fan that is sealed to the roof and the shroud pins to, broke off (photo). My assumption is that the shroud just allows use in the rain (fan has a separate cover) and maybe some improved efficiency of the fan. Also assuming I can leave the shroud off without worrying about leaks and fan performance. Is that logical or am I missing something? Thanks. Click image for larger version

Your vent cover should keep the rain out of the coach if you didn’t damage it.
