I hit a rock and bent my steps and now they wont go down, does anyone have a fix or do I have to get them replaced? Any one have any idea how much a fix like this will take? Is there a way to turn the step off and I can get a step ladder?

The steps are manufactured by Lippert Components. Determine which model steps you have and then go to their website and download the appropriate manual. It should give you the location of the wiring and I believe if you unplug the motor, which should be mounted to the steps, that should prevent the steps from trying to go down. As a temporary measure go to an RV dealer and purchase a portable step in the height required.

Were your steps by any chance ones that were under the Lippert recall?

I went back and looked at the step recall and the ACE was not mentioned.

Go to this website and you should be able to identify which step is installed on your coach.
