Exterior Television rear access?

I have done multiple searches and cannot find any info on this topic. maybe I am not getting the proper phrasing, but I am sure I cannot be the only one that has had this question in the past.

We have a thor Outlaw 37ls, class A...it has the 32 inch TV on the exterior. I am trying to find out how to gain access to the connections behind the TV. I had heard that it is actually held in place by a strong magnet - so I have attempted to tug each side with no success - granted I am a little scared to pull so hard I bust it if this is not the way it is held in place. I

I do see a metal bracket that has 2 torq screws on each side. My next attempt unless someone can provide info is to remove those...

I see no access to the TV from the inside of the coach as the closet is there as well as the stairs to the loft. I see no access panel or other type of entry.

The Thor owner manual only mentions and exterior entertainment manual but that is not available on the thor site or thru my web searches...

Ours is held in place with said magnet. Not that hard to pull it away.

Do you pull it from one side, both, or something else? I get no movement when I tug on the sides

I can only tell you that our outside set bracket does have a magnet that holds it in place inside the shallow outside enclosure for it, but its not that strong a magnet and is easily overcome. Then the set will pull quite a ways out, maybe 16 to 18 inches and turn or tilt. Grab both sides of the TV and give it a firm sharp tug, if its magnetically held in place it will easily pull out.

Don't remove those Torx screws... but it wouldn't hurt to just loosen them a little bit.
The magnets should be what holds the TV in place...
Good luck!

Thanks! I will give that a try...im usually a bit easy on electronics and fear hearing the crack of damage...

The magnets are strong, kinda helps a little to pull on the left side first because of the way the unit swivels. It will come out, just pull a little harder.

Just FYI, not all outside TVs have that magnet and swivel mount. Our 2017 Challenger does not, and we're not the only ones. See this thread:

My 2015 Vegas 24.1 has two metal bends that holds in the outside TV . The bands are removed with 2 screws in each band. TV then is screwed to the bands and easy to remove once you remove the tv with the bands attached.

Guess I'm perplexed as to why all the outside TV mounts would not be the pull and swivel mount. It makes the outside TV so much more useful. We often use that pull and swivel, often just to aim the set forward or towards the back, where we have our chairs placed for shade or????

Because the solid mounts are cheaper. Just like the TVs.

yes..the 37Ls is not movable, I am fairly sure...my setup looks nothing like the pics of the movable mount. those 2 screws on each side of our TV are the mount ...

I wish my Challenger 37LX had that as well, but it also does not. Not only that, but we have a big gaping hole in the box our outside TV sits in where the sink plumbing is visible from the outside behind the TV. It's very cold in that cabinet under the sink. Now Central Florida is under a freeze warning for tonight, I'm not sure what to do.
