Favorite sewer hose.

This has probably been covered before, but I didn't know what search terms to use. What is your favorite stinky slinky and why?

The perforated ones work best!

The Rhino flex hose works well. Collapses to only 2 or 3 feet. It stretches out about 12 or so.

Which ever you may chose, be sure to get a clear 45, 90, or straight piece to insure your tanks are completely drained & the black tank is flushed & running clear. Also most all rv parks require the hose be securely attached to their connection, so a threaded 90 degree is a must & in some places the rubber donut may also be needed, better to have & not need than to need & not have.
IMHO, don't get the cheapest, but also you don't have to spend a lot of $$ either, It's your choice.
Just an observation! You bought a new rv & the dealer didn't supply you with a cheap sewer hose, a cheap water hose, a water pressure restrictor, package of rv toilet paper, & sample of holding tank chemicals? If not what a sorry dealership. I've bought 3-4 new rvs & received these few items with every purchase.

We did get a cheap sewer hose, that's why I'm asking which hose would be a good replacement for it. Our dealer is Camp Land in Burns Harbor IN and we love them.

Got a link to a "threaded 90 degree"? I have never used one. I think I had one from my old camper and we just donated it to Salvation Army with a bunch of other stuff from the previous owner that sat in my garage for over 5 years <futz>!

Pete

PS. Something like this? https://www.etrailer.com/RV-Sewer/EZ.../F02-3112.html

I bought mine at Camper's Barn, when we bought the slinky... Their website has a link to online shopping for this type of stuff.

Yes that's exactly what you need. The rubber donut goes below the threads for parks that their connection is not threaded.
As said most parks require this connection, but your neighbors will also appreciate the sealed connection.

Thanks. I'll pick one up with a 10 or 15 foot hose.

Anybody know of a source of cheap extension hoses? Doesn't have to be great quality. Looking on Amazon I've seen about 2$/ft with the twist connectors on both ends.

I'm thinking about at home where I can dump in a sewer cleanout in my front yard. I need to measure but it's probably about a 50 foot run from the street or driveway. Set it up, dump, flush and put the hose back in the garage so quality is really not an issue.

Pete

Maintaining a downhill slope on line over 50 feet would be a challenge... Not sure it would be downhill at all from your street side (knowing the house and having used that cleanout on occasion... lol).
And a long hose to try to get 'crap' out of... literally.

Some form of macerator may be a better choice at that distance - a smaller diameter hose intended for longer distances and should be a simple connection to the cleanout.

Sewer Hose

I am now using the "Sewer Solution" system with the clear garden hose sized system that has a water nozzle to act as a macerator. Used it this weekend on a short outing and I am still liking it even though I carry the Rhino Hose too.

Might be a good solution for dumping at home in conjunction with a regular hose in campgrounds.

Opinions on the water driven system vs. a 12V pump. My run at home would be 45 to 60 feet depending on street vs. driveway.

I use pvc pipe 4 inch cut in half to hold the hose. That keeps it supported and
off the ground. You can set the slope right also, 1 inch a foot is what I use.
That way the heavy stuff doesn't get left in the pipe.To much slope and the water will run off to fast.

I decided to go with a flojet pump with clean dump 1" hose since it's a 50 foot run. A question about the flush connection. Is it plumbed into both tanks or just the black?
