First Service Information

This spring I will be taking my RV in for its first service. Engine and Genny Oil change, mainly. There are two warranty issues. First the Emergency brake switch sometimes stays on, beeping until I jam and release the e-brake. Second is the wiper switch is loose in the dashboard.

I found Laele's which has a lot of good reviews for a repair shop. As for a Ford Truck dealer, Mission Valley Ford Trucks has got a great reputation.

Should I take it to the Ford Truck center or the Thor authorized facility?

I'd take it to Thor for the Genny service and the warranty issues. I'd take it to Ford for the engine oil & filter service. Most Thor dealers will do the Ford oil & filter service but be sure to keep the records in case there is an engine warranty issue later. You need to be able to prove you performed the Ford recommended service on the specified interval.

If you have a local Onan/Cummins shop I'd take it there for the Genny service. Once I had asked our dealer about Genny service and they stated flat out that they just drive it over to the Onan/Cummins shop anyway.
