First timer for a winter cover?

My last RV was already faded when I bought it so I never bothered. My new Hurricane 34R is nice and shiny so I'm looking to buy a cover for the winter. I live in the North west so we get lots of rain and a little snow.

I know there are different covers for different regions. Can anyone make a recommendation? Are there any tricks to installing the cover? What should I do with my solar panels and am/fm antenna? Should I put a bucket or something over the wifi extender?

Thanks, I searched and didn't find much.

"To cover, or not to cover: that is the question..."

There's no doubt that a cover can keep the elements from getting to your finish...

... But so can a good coat of wax!
Every RV store and dealership is always more than happy to sell you one; but they don't use them on their rigs.
When we first bought our Outlaw in 2017: the salesman pushed us toward the covers, but service guy came out of the back, and saw what we were looking at. He came over and said that wax will protect the rig almost as well as the cover; but without the risk of flapping material actually damaging the surface it was meant to protect.
They have to be secured so that NOTHING flaps, and all of the edges have a barrier between them, and the rig...

But it si your RV, and your choice to make...

Thanks for that Bob, I just finished waxing and ceramic coating it yesterday. My only thought was with the amount of rain we get up here there would be another barrier to keep the water out!

It's a really tough decision to make...
We DID end up buying a cover by Elements: but never put it on the RV.
( I did get nervous about stumbling around on the roof: 11 feet in the air, while pulling on something akin to a giant sail! )

My decals have started to fade so after 3 years I bought a cover. Yes it's a pain to put on and I havent taken it off yet. But will be next month

I decided it was worth doing to protect from the sun eventhough I wax it often

With careful planning I believe it will go on and off without to much effort. And my Camaro likes its cover also
