We have a 2002 fourwinds class C and we just took out the old carpet, it seems that the OSB is just laying on the metal frame with large bolts, bolting it to the truck frame. There are no screws though the OSB into under frame other than the bolts that have it attached to the frame. We would like to put 1/2 in sanded plywood down and put a glued down vinyl plank on top of the plywood. Has anyone had any experience with this, and if so could you please give use any advice?
I would suggest using a 1/4 inch luan underlayment glued down with construction adhesive. This will give you a smooth surface plus it will weigh a lot less than 1/2 inch plywood. Make sure you sand the seams smooth. Plus by using adhesive you will limit expansion and contraction due to humidity changes. I personally have not done it but this is how I proceed.
