Under the sink in my 2016 Outlaw. The filter is so tight, and my arms are too short and head to big to get a grip..... LOL. I am trying to figure out how to use that giant plastic wrench tool to get the filter off.

Assume then that once filter is off I can replace the case and then winterize my line.....

Hello - I have a new axis 24.1 as well. Did yours come with a whole house water filter, or just the strainer after the water pump?

Our 2022 Axis 24.1 does not have a water filter. After getting some rust from a campground we started using bottled for potable use.

A mounted filter is a good idea. Been toying with the idea of one under the kitchen sink.

No filter in the Axis/Vegas and the strainer is BEFORE the water pump (IF installed correctly)

Under the sink has so little available room. I’m going to find a unit I can install after the pump next to the fresh water tank. In other RVs I’ve owned we only hand to change the house filter annually and always use the external filter when using the city water supply.

I have a water filter mounted conveniently inside our camper, 2020 Four Winds 31y. It's under the bed next to the fresh water tank and water pump. There's a nice wrench that fits it mounted right next to it. If you need pictures or anything, let me know.

So that begs the question: Is this an OEM filter install? Or did a previous owner install an aftermarket filter?

What does the filter enclosure look like? Most water filters use the same form factor that can accept your choice of micron sized filter.

They are normally a standard Watts style 10 inch filter you can buy from Lowe’s or Home Depot.

Almost all the typical filters used are 9.5 inches and are interchangeable

They are considered 10 inch

Carbon or activated charcoal have a finite life, exchange as needed
