Fresh water leaks whenever pump is on

We have a 2014 Thor ACE 29.2 and have a big leak which we think is coming from the water pump. It stops leaking when we turn off the pump and we turn off the water valve to the pump. We cleaned the filter screen and put it back on the pump but are still leaking a lot when the fresh water is on. The dealer is closed for the weekend. We would really appreciate any tips you might have. Thanks so much!

Any leaks when running off city water? Is the leak coming from a connection or the pump itself?

We filled the fresh water tank at the house with the hose...we have well water. It looks liked the pump itself is leaking...maybe a seal?

do you have water hook up where you are camping or are you at home? you can just hook a hose up to your city water inlet and run off that bypassing your pump for now. well or city source doesn't matter. just turn your pump off whiskey doing that. I have never had to repair my pump so not much help there.

I'm not much help here, but....we have a brand new 27.1 and have to take it back in for work on tuesday for the same reason. Our pump leaks bad when it's on. PLUS a few more issues. I'm starting to wonder what the quality control is like on these new Thor Aces!

Thanks for the help. We will hook it up to house and bypass pump for now. Have to call the dealer for an appointment to have the pump fixed. We filled the fresh water last night and only turned on pump when we needed water and by this morning all of the fresh water had leaked out.

Something else sounds wrong too. If the pump is off it shouldn't be drawing more water from your fresh tank.

We bypassed the pump and hooked in to our house and do not see water dripping yet. I sure hope that the fresh water tank does not have a leak... We will take it to the dealer as soon as we can get an appointment. Thanks for your help!

Sounds like you have a leak between the pump and fresh water tank.

The good news is this "should" be just a short run from the tank to the pump, as hopefully the pump is adjacent to the tank.

The city water connection should be on the discharge side of the pump, and the tank should be on the inlet side... assuming the plumbing is conventional.

At some point though, you should be seeing wet areas, either inside or on the ground (hopefully) where the water is leaking.

But it is something you need to get fixed right away as you could eventually have severe water damage.

Good luck.
