Furnace quit, help :(

We're on the road in Northern California. This morning the furnace is malfunctioning. I turn the heat on at the thermostat and the fan(s) start. I hear the burner light off for a few seconds and stop. After a few more seconds it lights again for maybe 5 seconds and stops. Third time after it quits the fans stop and it's dead. Yes, we have plenty of propane and the stove works fine. Anyone run into this? Any ideas? Thanks, tom

Did you have bad weather more than likely water got in the fins that are punched the wrong way, same here, need to dry out circuit board. I contacted Atwood the manufacturer months ago and they sent a fix to my dealer to repair no charge

Before I got the relocation kit from Atwood I would have to take a hair dryer to dry out the circuit board. That should at least get it going until the next rain. The relocation kit will re-position the circuit board to help keep it dry.

Ours did the same thing while we out in January. Lots of rain, but we were equipped with a couple electric heaters and had shore power. Ours is at the shop now for warranty work.

Circuit board must have dried out on its own yesterday during our travel. Working normally this morning. I am going to call Atwood when I get home in a couple days.

Congratulations: even if you didn't do anything...
At least now, fixing it becomes a priority: just not quite as critical as before!

We had this happen a lot of rain & control board went crazy, the furnace is set to attempt to keep the pilot light lite & after 3 times it shuts down, pulled the control board out & ordered a dinosaur control board that is made in USA with 3 year warranty however I dried the Atwood board out & reinstalled & working good, & I have a new board Incase it goes out without the rain, the Atwood boards are made in China & are subject to going crazy when it get moisture from rain in it, to fix just remove & dry thoroughly & reinstall if it acts up after a bad rain. This will more than likely correct your issues
