You did hold the stop button for several seconds to prime the gen. And you do have more than 1/4 tank of fuel, right.

What light?

Is your use/store switch in use?

Is your coach battery charged? Is the chassis battery charged? Does your coach have the emergency start switch that ties the house and chassis batteries together?

Try the switch on the generator itself. Mine did this and found the store-use switch was accidentally bumped off. I was able to crank directly from the generator b4 I found the issue.

Mine has a light that indicates it is running. Battery in use mode . Chassis and coach battery full charge. Yes on the emergency start question

I do not seem to be getting power to the Jen . Also, I did have to crawl through about 20 yards of standing water and both the house bats and Jen were exposed.

Propane? Does your RV run on propane if not check the RV gas gauge. It needs to be above a quarter of a tank for the gen to run. Also you should be able to pull start the gen.

If your house batteries were exposed to floodwaters: do you have battery power in the RV to other systems?
(By that: I mean the ones that are hooked to your inverter...)
If the generator was also submerged: you might have popped a breaker out there...
This is all assuming that the "airbox" never went under water...

Bob I have DC. Lights vent fans etc. I have checked the inverter and there is not a fuse for the gen. When you say popped a breaker out there, what specifically are you referring to? Does the generator have a breaker elsewhere?

There is a breaker on the generator itself. But the breaker would stop the 120V; it wouldn't prevent the generator from running.

In the floodwaters: could something have jammed the starter up?

Does the genny crank at all? If it cranks and doesn't start I would suggest its the fuel pump.

If it doesn't crank then check the 12V going to the genny.

Has the 100 amp breaker tripped at the house battery?

I have three high amp circuit breakers mounted on the outside of the coach battery box ( have to crawl under the rig to see them). I think one of them supplies the generator. Always was going to trip one at a time and label them, but never have.

See if one of them are tripped.

Since stuff was under water: I'm betting on a popped circuit breaker...

Good luck!

The generator starter supplied with electricity through a 100 amp circuit on the wall of the battery compartment in my coach. This CB also supplies the leveling jack motor with power. If the batteries are up, the only stopping the generator starter motor from turning over is the CB, a bad connection or a bad starter motor assuming you are using the generator starter switch on the generator itself.

Thanks to all of those who have recently responded but you have now gone way beyond my level of understanding. When I push the start button on the generator or the switch inside the rv,nothing happens. No noise -nothing. However, after pushing the inside start button several really fast , it made a (how do you describe a noise) like it was trying to do so something. Not the
whirring noise it usually makes. More like a cross between a click and a snap. It made the same noise about every two seconds for 15 mins or so. The jen is an Onan 3600 and is mounted in passenger rear compartment. The RV is a 2017 thor Gemini. Does anyone know where the gen breaker is located?

Someone is here mentioned to check the outside of your house battery box...
Good luck, and happy hunting!
