I use my Maps on my iPhone - plug it into the USB port and mount the phone on the dash! Love it!

Not sure there is a best and I suppose it is what is best and easiest for you to use. I have used Garmins for years and like the features that are available. Also, you can load your GPS with custom POI's (points of interest) from the POI factory located at the link below. Good luck on your quest.

Problem with using Maps on iPhone is that you are using part of your monthly data and if you get in an area where you don't have a signal you won't have a map.

Use Google maps on any smartphone: You can now download map areas to the phones and use that (thus no data usage and you're protected for any "off-cellular" adventures).

We use the Jensen 215's Nav now. In addition we'll have a smartphone or tablet loaded up with the iExit app used for the other misc stops.

I have a Rand NcNally GPS that I really like. Much larger screen and RV specific options.

I use a Rand McNally RVND 7730. Nice to be able to configure to the coach (length, height, weight, propane tank size etc...) as well as length of TOAD or trailer.

It's a good GPS for a big rig (38 feet long and 12 feet 9 inches high).
