Grease Zerks on e450

While changing the oil on my E450 chassis, I noticed 2 grease zerks on the steering mechanism. What kind of grease should I use and how often should I check this?

If you look a bit closer you'll most likely find several more underneath there, tie rods, upper/lower ball joints, & possibly on the u joints on either end of the driveshaft. Use any good quality grease you chose, in my opinion for those items don't waste $$ on synthetic.
If it were me, I'd give each zerk 3-4 pumps from your grease gun at each oil change, that would be more than sufficient.
