Had to replace the fresh water pump.

It seems silly to me. But the check valve is built into the water pump. For the last several days, I have found my fresh water tank full when I am connected to city water. Yesterday, I ran the pump to unblock the check valve and emptied the fresh water tank. This morning, after my shower, I found the tank full again.

I called around and no one carried the check valve repair kit. So I located the whole pump. It was plug compatible and fairly easy to replace. One thing that shocked me was that Camping World listed it at $45 more (on sale) than a local dealer. They didn't have it in stock, so I drove 30 minutes for the local dealer. This is not the first time that I have noticed that Camping World prices are a bit high.

Thanks for that. The issue is still that the check valve built into the pump is not working. Besides, on my rig, dismantling the couch to get to that valve is a pain in the ***. I would rather it would work correctly.

Are you aware that you can order a check valve repair kit? But the issue then is you still have to remove the pump to get at the check valve.

valve

I have thought about it but cheaper for me to close it in camp, just need to remember to open when traveling. I have a door made for access to it on my Windsport 34P. It is in the bed room under the closet.

Where

I’m trying to locate the water pump in a 2016 Thor Axis 25.2. Where did you find it?

It is under the couch, between the bathroom wall and the fresh water tank.

I am having the same issue with my 2017 34j. It seems to make more sense to put the check valve in the line and not the pump unit itself. Is it possible to do this? If so any recimendations on which valve to use?

Where is this shut off valve to the fresh water tank on the 34J? I would like to close this line to prevent overflow while connected to city water until I put in a check valve in line with the pump.
