Hard to find items.

Hello all, I'm new to the forums but haven't been able to find an answer yet.

I'm looking for the following but am not having any luck online.

1) Screw in hard back Velcro coins (black)
2) Screen corner retaining clips (triangular in shape)

I have a 2017 Hurricane 29m.

Thank you in advanced for your help.

A photo would be nice so we know what you're talking about or perhaps you could Google looking for them.

Screw on Velcro fasteners seem hard to find, but Velcro makes adhesive backs for rough surfaces (not sure how secure these are though when pulling off the velcro fastener front portion)

2) Screen corner retaining clips (triangular in shape)

This link shows rounded screen corners for RV's. You could try contacting them to determine if they can source what you want.

Javelin, thank you for doing the research that the original poster should have done. Glad the old timers here are courteous and go out of their way to help the newcomers.

For the screen clips try Pelland Enterprises. They have all sorts of window and screen parts

Thanks for the responses for those that are actually trying to be helpful.

@cpmath not sure about the negativity though. The original post says that I've checked the forums and looked online.

The links provided in the responses are websites I've checked already. The components are similar but not exact.

Figured someone has ran into the issue and found a solution.

Thanks for the warm welcome...

Call Thor CS and they will send you a handful of the screen clips...it's a really fast moving item for them. They probably will send you the Velcro plugs also.

Everyone was trying to be helpful. You are new to this forum and I would assume new to forums in general. I have been on forums for over 20 years, and have seen the same questions asked over and over and over. I would think that the members that replied have experienced what I have. Some members, not saying you, spend no time looking for information and just post up a thread. I hope this explains what you think are snarky comments are about. Enjoy your rig and safe and adventurous travels.

Hard to Find Items

3M make the round buttons. Here is a link to a vendor that sells them. I have purchased them myself to add to the front window curtain.

Have a nice day.

Hum

When someone asks a question an old member should never accuse the questioner of not doing his homework or looking things up on his own! Obviously he is asking for help. Being nasty just because he asks a question that may have been asked before no matter how many times still deserves a courteous answer!

Being a physician I am asked all the time the same questions and if I was nasty and told the patient to look it up on his own I don’t think I would last long in practice! I think our role here is to provide answers if we know them no matter how many times they are asked!

Being a physician has nothing to do with a forum. You have a degree and are trained for your field. People pay to see you for your expertise to address there issues.
In my opinion forums are for people with the same interest to talk about problems, modifications and research for people looking to buy one. Some of my best friends I have met from forums. Forums bring people from all walks of life together.
You need to be a little thick skinned on a forum and the web these days.

Apparently it’s a 3M product not Velcro...

I think it’s awesome how in one breath an old timer will say “you should respect your elders”, or they’ll lament about how “things are not like they were in the good old days”, etc. Well how about sharing some of that wisdom that you’ve gained over your long life. Oh what’s that? I figured it out for myself, why can’t you? Just because you’re the leader timer doesn’t give you license to say whatever you want. It’s not about anyone having a thin skin or not having experience on Social Media. It’s about if you don’t have anything productive to bring to the discussion then stand to the side and watch.

Window clips

Can someone give me the number to call Thor CS to get the screen clips? I have contacted their parts department and they have told me to contact a local dealer. The local dealers have told me that is not a spare item I need to order the complete screen. Any help would be appreciated.
