Food Grade Clear Reinforced Hose

I am getting ready to replace my SurFlo water pump and have seen many people on U-tube have changed their PEX hose to a softer hose as previously mentioned. The problem I have run into is I purchased 1/2" ID x 3/4" OD hose and for some reason the brass 1/2" straight connectors are too small so I am unable to connect to the remainder of my plumbing which is 1/2" PEX tubing. I was wondering if somebody can tell me If I purchased the wrong size food grade hose. Thanks in advance.

1/2" PEX pipe is 0.625" O.D. and 0.485" I.D.

There are adapter fittings. I just go to a big box store and test fit - then cobble together the parts. Thor used flex tubing adapted to PEX in my slide, so I know it's possible.

They make "silencer" kits which included the hose pigtails.

BTW the PEX hose makes no noise unless it's banging against something which is easily remedied.
