Gutter for Thor Ace 27.1

Greetings all,

Looking to install a gutter system but I noticed there is a mold just below the roof sign running the full length on both sides of my unit. This mold has a channel running the full length and was wondering if this is there for a gutter that slides into this channel and if not, what is it for? Any feedback or suggestions would be appreciated.

Andy

That appears to be a channel for an awning. Is your coach missing it's awning?

No, the awning attaches below that channel on the slideout. I saw that channel on my 27.1 after I had bought some Trim-Lok gutter and was installing it. It looked like the right place for a slide in gutter to me as well.

No awnings missing which is why I'm not sure they chose to use this awning rail molding. It appears to be a hindrance to any gutter I attach below it..

Are you aware of any slide in gutter or do I need to rip a piece of PVC as I see on the internet? PVC route doesn't look like an attractive solution.

On my 27.1 I used Trim-lok and ran it forward and curved the end above the front window. Does the job.

I installed the gutter just below the trim for the edge of the roof. It looks like that edge trim has a slot for the right king of gutter to slide in to, but I didn't see that until after I had purchased the Trim-Lok.

I used these "Rain Kap" extenders on my roof line of the Windsport and they do keep the streaks off the side of the RV. It seems a lot of places that used to carry them aren't showing them available anymore.
