Are you referring to the rubber seal that runs the length of the slideout that is supposed to fold out when extending the slide and in when retracting? If so I have not seen a rig yet that all of these seals do what they're supposed to when they are supposed to do it. They either fold part way or not at all. Every time I extend my slide I have to run a long wood dowel I keep handy up the sides/bottom to get the seal all the way out. Same holds true for the seal that runs along the floor on the inside of the coach.
