How to winterize a Hurricane 31S?

31S owners: How do you winterize your coach? (Have seen and read several conflicting instructions). Thanks.

Caveat, I am not looking at the checklist but this generally what I do.
First dump the waste tanks.

The Thor manual should have a section in the back of the manual to winterize. Also, there is a picture to bypass the water heater.

In my 31S the water heater access panel is below the desk in the bedroom on the curb side wall. There is about six screws.

Basically drain the fresh water tank.
Drain the hot water heater.
Open the taps
Put air pressure through the lines.
Bypass the water heater.
Turn off the air pressure.
Wait 5 minutes apply air pressure again in case there was some water movement settled somewhere.
Put anti freeze in the kitchen bathroom, outside sink, and shower drain traps. you just need enough to fill the traps.
Put the rest in the black tank.

Most of all reread the process or checklist to winterize. It does not take to long.

The only thing I would add to this checklist is after applying air pressure to lines open one faucet at a time...puts more air volume through that way. Also remove your water filter if you have one. Once complete leave each faucet open half way and remove the screen filter near your water pump and leave it off.

Here's what you do:
Tie a snow shovel to the grille, and head South!
When somebody asks you what that is, that you've stuck to the grille: stop there!
