Tellaro bed access panel

Purchased new 2022 Thor Tellaro 20L and first night the access panel under one of the beds dropped down in the bed frame. The access panel was supported by 4 small wood blocks stapled to the frame. That design will cause a problem in every Tellaro that Thor sells. Looking for a suggestion because I’m sure this has happened to other Tellaro owners.

Little wooden blocks fall out

Yup. Me too. The blocks are installed with 2 staples and a short sheet metal screw with bout 1/8 inch of engagement. I'm going to epoxy and clamp mine.

Tellaro bed access panel

Thanks for the reply. I tried wood glue and clamps which was better but ultimately they fell out also. I solved my problem with 2 wood supports across the opening held in place with bolts, over-sized flat washers and wing nuts. Definitely supports the weight of someone sitting on that area and easy to remove when i winterized my rig. The wood supports were 18" long, 4" wide and 3/4" thick.

Through bolts and wing nuts

A man after my own heart. Make it both bulletproof and maintainable.
