Who here is familiar with Coach House or Phoenix Cruiser?

There has been a lot of discussion on this forum about Thor's poor quality and how that is reflected throughout the entire RV community. Has anyone on this forum had first hand experience with either Coach House or Phoenix Cruiser and share with the rest of us how the quality of their products compares with Thor products?

I don't have first hand knowledge, but spent a lot of time on Phoenix Cruiser forum. Was very close to placing order.

They have their share of issues. Read wire a fee complaints about slides leaking. Complaints about cheap veneer wood cabinets. Using wood colored tape to cover manufacturing mistakes.

Even with those complaints, they seem to have very loyal following.

We recently traded in our Coach House Platinum 23XLS for a Thor Vegas 24.1.

The Coach House was well built, but a little tight on inside. Even with the slide, it wasn't comfortable for two people traveling together. For one person, it was great.

Recently, after three days of camping in the rain with both of us stuck inside, my wife said, 'We need something bigger.'

She was right, so the next day we started looking. We found a 2017 Vegas 24.1 at a local RV dealer, and a week later, we bought it.

We've now had our Vegas for two months and have already put 4,000 miles on it. We've camped in it 14 days, and so far we both really like it.

It is easy-to-drive, handles surprisingly well, and it has a lot more room inside and a lot more storage capacity than the Coach House.

Coach House does make a quality unit, no doubt about it. The factory is near where we live, and I've been through it and saw how well they are assembled.

But a new one costs at least twice what a Vegas would, and we like the floorplan and liveability of the Vegas a lot more. So far, we've had no issues with the Vegas.

Small is good, but too small not so much. One thing that lovely wife, mother of my children, keeper of the peace and counter of the coin both agree is that at some point you need to be able to get out of one another's way.

Yes I’ve had 2 Phoenix Cruisers both a 2400 and a 2350 both were very well built and had all the features of larger units. The factor will take care of you if nessassary. Their CEO is a great guy and will actually take your calls.
