Ice Maker Should we connect?

Hmmm. Out on the road this holiday week in NC . Had initially brought ice with us so did not turn on ice maker in whirlpool fridge till Tuesday. Waited 48 hours and no ice. Took out drawers and investigated and it seems Thor put the fittings there to hook to but did not run from fridge. At first we were irritated that we would have to make a "warranty" trip but the more we have thought it over,maybe this is a blessing in disguise?!? After all if there is going to be an issue that would be one with a fridge! What do you think and or do??

If it were me I'd get it connected but keep the valve turned off until spring.

In 2 years the only issue with my ice maker was the solenoid valve froze last year. It was a relatively easy replacement taking about an hour or two. I paid a little more attention to detail with dry winterizing this year.
