Jump Off 2018 Axis

Searched but could not find...Chassis and house batteries are dead. It has been plugged into shore power, but chassis batteries are dead and the Use/Store switch relay does not click when I push it like before. Most of these other things I have found answers for.

Main question: How do I jump off the chassis battery to start the engine?

I looked in Ed's manual but did not find any info on this.

There is the "Emerg Start" switch on the dash. Hold it down for a bit and it should jumper the the batteries together. However if one of the batteries is totally dead it may not work.

House batteries are dead and not charging. I checked the power cables coming off of the converter and with shore power plugged in there is 13.7 volts. Pressing the Use switch does nothing.

Not the Use switch the "Emergency Start" switch on the dash, but I would suspect that does nothing as well as use/store.

You may have to jump it the old fashion way (I'd run to the store and pick up one of those battery starters).

I understand, my post wasn't real clear. I have a battery starter, that's what I think I'm going to have to do. But, how do you get to the battery terminals? I've looked, but can't see them. Of course, it's been raining cats and dogs here, so I just gave it a quick look see.

The chassis battery is on the passenger side behind the "hood" under the two vent intake hoses.

Up And Running!

Everything is up and running now. Charged the chassis battery. Had difficulty at first because I could not find a good ground. Couldn't get to the negative post with the charger clamp. Charged it and engine started right up. Used the emergency switch and got the generator started and now charging the house batteries.

Does anyone know if the cigarette lighter is a good way to trickle charge the chassis battery?

Figured Out House Battery Problem

I was out checking to make sure everything was good. Hooke up to shore power overnight. I pushed the Use/Store switch to make sure it clicked. I checked the batteries and found that they were not charging. Pushed button again and the batteries were charging. I believe what I did was push the Use button twice and stopped the charging on the house batteries.

Won't do that again. Is there a way to verify that the batteries are charging without putting a meter on them?
