Kitchen Water Faucet Dead

OK, here's a new one I never heard of before. Took the RV out of storage to go to the Naval Academy FAMCAMP for 9 days. Had put the RV in storage after we got back from being in FL for the month of Mar.

After I hooked up water & electric, I discovered that the kitchen faucet on our 2015 Vegas does not work for either hot or cold. We have the kitchen gooseneck type faucet with spray and with a single handle for hot and cold. Operated the button on the spray head and had no effect.

Went under the sink and just loosened the coupling on the braided hot & cold water lines where the lines from the faucet connect. I got a water spray out of both fittings when I loosened them. That told me there is water pressure in the lines going to the water faucet but for some reason neither hot nor cold water can get through the valve in the body of the kitchen faucet assembly.

The picture attached is from someone else's mod to install a stainless steel sink. I included the picture because it shows the type of faucet assembly I have.

Any suggestions?

Faucet doesn't work

I had the same problem. Only my kitchen sink ran slower and slower. I finally took the handle mechanism apart and the lines off under the sink. I hooked up my portable compressor and shot air through the whole system from underneath the sink. It must have blown out whatever was blocking it. Works great once again.

Well if you have good water pressure for both hot and cold at the fixture connections then your blockage is in either the tap valve body itself or in the aerator nozzle I suspect. Try cleaning the screen in the nozzle first and if nothing improves then see if you can remove the valve assembly and clean it also.

Forgot to mention -- I had also taken the spray nozzle off the end of gooseneck and no help. It must be something in the valve body itself.

Yup! I'd be looking for debris that has clogged that screen...

Good luck!

Another possible as this happened to me. The kitchen had very slow water flow. In looking at the line going to the faucet, there is a weight attached. It's purpose is to return the spray head to gooseneck. The weight was in such a place on the line that it kinked the line. The solution is to move the weight a little. Problem solved.

No screen, no aerator in that type of faucet.

Time to remove and disassemble the faucet valve. Maybe damaged by freezing in the cold white north?

My flex line had a piece of plastic wedged in it. I unclipped it from valve body and used air compressor or blow it out. Lots of plastic debris came out

Probably the valve cartridge in the faucet either failed, or has something blocking it.
