Livin Lite Camplite 11FK cracked tongue

We own a 2017 Camp Lite 11FK and the left side of the camper tongue just developed a crack in the aluminum, in front of the weld. Our dealer B & B RV won't stand behind this. Even though it's out of warranty, this issue is a known defect on the larger campers. I'm in the process of contacting NTSB to log a manufacture defect. This could have resulted in a terrible accident.

You meant the touted nitrofill didn't prevent this?

Same cracked frame

Hi! I have the exact same year 11fk 2017. The crack is in the exact same location as yours. Can I please ask you what the result of this was with KZ Thor etc? I am trying to call them and no one calls me back.

1. did you have any luck with them? Did they total it? Or did they pay for repair?

2. How did you repair it? Any advice?

3. Is it holding up okay? Do you feel that the repair is safe?

Would love to connect. Please any advice would be greatly appreciated!!! Thank you.

This problem has been thoroughly discussed on aluminumcamperforum.com and was the subject of a newsletter article- https://mailchi.mp/39d1f8e429dc/aluminum-frame-welds

At this point I wouldn't expect any warranty support from Thor. Find a good aluminum welder and have him grind out the bad welds and weld them up.

It definitely can be fixed and does not require "totalling" the rig.

Sorry to hear that this issue has cropped up on your rig...
But welcome to the forum, and good luck!
