I have to retract this statement. Don't know what I was or wasn't thinking of. It makes no difference if the latch is locked or unlocked, it is automatically latched when the door is closed unlike the dead bolt so locking the door latch isn't an issue. Sorry about that.

Either way, I will file a complaint with the NHTSH (as many others have) in hopes that they will see the safety issue and mandate a recall.
Thanks again everyone!
I will update when SOMEONE steps up and covers the steel replacement.

Rots of Ruck with Thor covering it. I would put zero money on that bet.

It's worth a shot...
But I'd still put my money on Tri-Mark.

I can't remember if we contacted Thor or TriMark but we were sent a new lock at no cost to us. We actually got it within a few days.

My new latch assembly arrived today. That's from a call to TriMark on Monday. It's the outside part, with all the guts. Will use the inside part from the old latch with the two red levers. That part isn't damaged. It came with new screws and keys. Will only take a couple of minutes to switch it out.
And yes, the plunger is steel.

Latch replacement took only a few minutes. Perfect fit without the need for any adjustment. Expecting this one to last as long as the coach!
Kevin at TriMark said that the inferior pot metal plunger is no longer made. That's good news, and the company did the right thing in replacing it. For those of you with a latch with the pot metal plunger, you might want to contact TriMark before your spouse gets locked in like mine did.

That is great that TRI-MARK covered yours.. We have replaced TWQ of the TRI-MARK locks now. The first was the ZINC that broke, the second was a STEEL unit from TRI-MARK that had a plastic piece break...
I wasnt able to get TRI-MARK to stand behind either one, so my hat is off to you on your ability

Thor stepped up!!!
DRUMROLL PLEASE...
THOR stepped up and sent me a new replacement for free!!!
Received in a week as promised.
Yes it is steel and a magnet sticks!
I do have to call them tomorrow because it wasn’t padded well and one of the inside door flips is broken.
I decided to call them first before TriMark and am very impressed that they handled this without any issue.
Thanks everyone for all your help!
Hopefully it’s easy to switch out too...

Great THOR customer service
When part of the replacement door lock arrived broken, THOR was apologetic and resent the entire door lock again, this time wrapped in bubble wrap and I received it in less than a week. Diane in customer service was very helpful!

We have had our 2019 Windsport 29M in for numerous door repairs. We are wondering if the coach is not level. The Jack's are down the slide is out. It appears looking at the coach.the slide looks like it is causing the coach to lean. Your thoughts?

I’ve got a 2018 29M. I’ve always put the jacks down/leveled before extending the slide and have noticed that, at times, it looks to be leaning slightly “left” similar to yours. Have also noticed the door is sometimes hard to open although it has never required service. I’m thinking that big slide definitely affects the coach and next time will manually lift the left side a bit after leveling to see what happens. Unfortunately that won’t be until next year... going into storage Monday. Might be the nature of the beast.

How about that! The same thing happened to us this week! Fortunately, we have a Class C and were able to get out of the cab door.

Thank you for your response. We are using the automatic leveling system. Can we still adjust leveling using manual adjustment? We are newbies with our class A.

That is concerning also. Did adjust levelers?

Yes, just press the Manual button to shift from Automatic and go to town with your 4 arrows.
