lost one side of my 110v in 1983 Komfort 29
Hi. This is my 1st post here. Live in central Oregon at 4K. Very happy with my Dutchman Komfort 29 – but I lost the kitchen side of my 110v. by overloading the circuit. But no breaker tripped. An RV tech said I probably tripped the ground fault circuit interrupter. I found the left side one, not the right. Does anyone know the location of the right-side GFCI? A wiring diagram would be great!

You can get most diagrams but phoning Thor customer service. Have your VIN ready. They can email it to you.

thanks, gnach. I called Thor; their diagrams don't go back that far.
They suggested Keystone – who don't share diagrams, but said it was made by Komfort back then. Said CFCIs are usually at a 'wet' point – near water. But my left one is on the upstairs room wall.

Newer rigs the GFCI is typically in the bathroom - and protect the downstream kitchen and outside outlets as well...
Nothing says it has to be IN a 'wet spot' - just that 'wet spot' outlets need to be protected by it. May need to hunt around in an older rig to find.
The GFCI also wouldn't trip from an overload... That is the circuit breakers job. GFCI will only trip from a ground fault - a leakage of voltage to ground - regardless of current draw. Certainly possible it is tripped - but would be something else that caused it.
Have you actually flipped each circuit breaker off and on? Sometimes they don't 'look' tripped when they are...

Sounds like you know more than the tech at All Seasons RV in Bend, gnach, who suggested it might be the cfgi. No breaker tripped, but I replaced it just in case.
I'm about to connect the 120 line on the left to the one on the right. Won't be hard to do; already have enough romex. And if I'm careful I shouldn't overload it.
If it isn't the breaker or the cfgi – what else is POSSIBLE?

What's very possible is that one wire came loose, as in it wasn't tight to begin with (ask how I know...brand new Axis, no dash air). You may need to remove the receptacles, 1 by 1, and re-tighten the screws. It's possible that the wires were stabbed in the back of a device and it came loose. Y'know, for your peace of mind that would be good to do anyway. I'd replace the most used ones, like the kitchen because the spring grip inside soften up with use. Pretty cheap insurance.
BTW, GFCI receptacles do fail and need replacing too.

appreciate the suggestions, gnach. Just found the problem. I have a second 120 breaker set next to the other. None tripped, but when I opened the panel I found a HEAVY DUTY wire MELTED!!
Lord knows why it didn't trip the breaker, but you can be sure I'm replacing it asap.
thanks again.

The problem wasn't excessive load, too many appliances at one time but was a loose connection and enough load that caused the current to arc from breaker to wire, very much like arc welding. Replace the breaker, cut the wire to where it's clean and re-insert. Double check that all the breakers are tight. Seriously, take the time to check your receptacles too.

The problem was in the aftermarket "indoor Mobile Home Loadcenter" made by Gould. Not only was the feed line to the right side of the 5th wheel melted, you should see the 8 gauge wire! And I can't break loose the set screw .
Do you (or anyone) know where I can locate a Gould 50GL2ND/50GL2NDS?

Actually all I need is an aftermarket breaker box for RVs with GFCI.
