Lost A Window Panel Today...

Actually: it just fell out; but we caught it!
I was unlocking our Outlaw this morning. As I opened the door, and separated the screen door from the outer door: the frosted glass panel in the outer door landed in my hands!

It seems to be just glued in place: is this actually true?
What would you use to re-attach it?
(Something that might last a bit longer would be useful...)
Thanks!

Use a bead of 100% silicone glue and tape for 24 hrs. Same thing glass shop will do.

Deja Vu. I've heard this story before. A forum search "may" lead you to how this was fixed before.

We had the same thing happen to our Windsport, silicone glued it back on.

While it is out, maybe you can remove the dumb "bathroom window" pebbling from it and tell us how to do it.

We hate it. Why do they put a window in a door and not let you see who is on the other side? Can you look at it and see if the bubbles can be removed?

Just leave it off Bob...you can throw your beer cans through it as you travel without having to open a front window. You can play "Beer Can Basketball" as you drive!! Just remember to cut a hole in the screen.

Beer bottles are even MORE fun!

Question: It seems that the offending window was actually glued to a rubber gasket that is under (?) the outer tinted window...
Does that mean that it was the only thing holding the outer window in place?!?

I think so. They call this new technology "seamless windows". Makes you wonder if we should install the cable tethers to everything like NASCAR does to the hoods, fenders, windows and trunk lids. If they blow off, at least you can stop and retrieve them.

Same window fell out of our 2017 Thor Axis 25.2 last month. Re-installed with a bead of clear silicone applied to the double sticky window tape that was used by the manufacturer. Held in place with blue painters tape for 24 hours or until dry. Just returned from a 3000 mile trip, window stayed in place with no further problems.

This just happened on our 2018 Miramar. I am seriously thinking of leaving it off since I don't like the bathroom type window where you can't see out. I still have the tinted outside window (hopefully it won't fall out).

Hey Bob, Can you ever feel warm and cozy in a Thor? I haven't gotten there yet.

A Potential Solution

During one of my many visits to the water closet overnight: a stray thought popped into my head, as I stared into the abyss...

What about giving automotive exterior trim tape a chance?
It sticks better than a bad nickname, and it's easy to find!
I measured the width of what is currently on the window: 3/8"
The Missus is gonna pick some up today during her errands, and we'll give it a try.
