Low Batteries/2015 Challenger

House batteries on my 2015 Challenger after sitting only two weeks were low. The switch was in storage mode, batteries had just been serviced recently, connections, levels checked. Once I started the engine house batteries went to full charge. I don’t recall this happening before or I never noticed it before. Is this normal or are batteries getting old and not holding a charge properly??

My 2017 Challenger came with two 6-volt batteries. The coach sat on the dealer lot for a year, so I replaced them with four 6v Crown batteries (yesterday).

Are yours original equipment or have you replaced them at some point? From all I’ve read here, if you got a couple years out of the original set, you’ve done well.

Even in the "Storage" mode: the parasitic losses will drain the batteries down.
Put a battery disconnect switch right on one of the battery leads to the coach, and that'll stop the flow of juice completely!
Mine would draw down to 11.3 volts in about three days, before putting the disconnector in place.
