microwave/water heater interferes @

Since we purchased a used 2013 four winds the microave has always had a mind of its own. Once connected to power it would randomly power on and off during the day or night. Well this weekend the water heater would no longer come on using the 110, only on the propane. Oddly the microwave did not power intself off once the entire weekend.

i’m thinking somehow these two are related. I plan on calling a rv repair guy today and wanted to get some feedback before the repair guy comes to make sure we are on the same wave length.

Any ideas on this? Many thanks in advance!

Gail

Welcome to the Forum!
You might want to start by taking a peek at your electrical panel. If those two items are connected: it would have to be in there...
Good luck!

Welcome to the site.

Yup: I bet your microwave and water heater are connected to a priority switch. We have one.

It provides power to the priority device stealing power from the other device. It is a way to reduce current draw. Here is the switch in our coach (I've since actually mounted it as Thor didn't think it was important enough to screw to something LOL):

Called an "Automatic Energy Select Switch".

In your case I don't think the switch is bad--its your microwave. Either get it repaired or replaced. Give the microwave manufacturer a call and see if they will help you get it fixed (Is it a High Point?).
