Need help - AC died in Georgia!

Front ac unitwas working when all of a sudden furnace came on blower only. Worked fine all week! Had to turn furnace off from switch on unit (behind outside panel).

Now front ac is not responding to thermostat at all- fan nor unit coming on.

Any ideas?!

The only thing in common between the AC and the Furnace is the thermostat. Got a Home Depot close by?

The thermostat gets 12v from the line from the furnace. I you turned off the outside switch, no 12v is getting to the thermostat.

Learning this I removed cover from furnace and switched to ON- the front AC unit came on but only one speed works. Furnaxe no longer blowing! WTF?!?!

Wife read online in another forum the rain caused a similar problem to another guy. Funny, i have washed this thing multiple times and never had this problem. It did rain hard yesterday while we were at the beach - hard enough for awning to self retract. Think this was it?!?!

By the way, home depot does not sell coleman digital thermostat.

Anyone replace the stock thermostat? What one did you use?

But they sell Hunter Digital Thermostats which can replace the Colemans.

Yes: Rain could have got the furnace controller wet causing its fan to come on.

I was one of the other guys that had the problem. The water seeps in along the cover surround where it meets the filon body . Seal the body to the surround and it will keep the water out.

Had this problem last winter. Found the blower for the furnace running and the system was OFF!!! The reset/off switch inside the furnace was wet (shorted). The circuit board is not covered by anything and is exposed. I left the switch off since it was winter and I’d restore it in the spring when I got ready to use the camper.

Wet controller board. Same thing happened to us a few weeks ago. I took the board out and drilled weep holes in the plastic mount underneath to give the water a chance to run out and after the board dried, put it back and it has worked fine since. At some point I will replace the stock controller board with a Dinosaur Electronics Universal Igniter Board with Fan Control (part FAN50PLUS) as it won't keep bringing the fan on continuous run if something happens. It is also sealed against casual rain, etc. It is around $100 on Amazon.

sounds like the circuit board got wet/moist and caused a 'connection' to run the furnace fan... once dry, it should go back to working fine, though. You may have to now look at how to minimize any water intrusion into the furnace circuit board area.
