Old caulk removal

Having an issue removing old caulk. Tried goo-gone and a plastic scraper to no avail. Used a knife but don't want to scratch the optional paint, Help!

Try a heat gun than the goo gone anrd the scraper, the heat gun will loosen it up and allow the chemical to soak in, I have all so used gas

Mostly you use a lot of patience & perseverance, along with a couple buckets of elbow grease!! Personally I don't think the gas is a very good option, especially if you're using a heat gun, that combo may remove more than the caulk, like your life & rv.

Hope this helps. This worked for me. I had old caulking atleast 10 years old, that was coming loose. Last fall I used mineral spirits on a rag and cheap plastic spoons to get caulking out, used mineral spirits to clean area before rechaulking. Cut the smallest hole you can in the tube of caulking you use, so you make a small bead of caulking, then wet your finger to smooth out the caulking. I recaulked 3 windows, the seam on both sides on the rear, the seams on both sides on the overhead bunk.
